The original blogs were difficult to work with since it had to be updated manually from the homepage.
Live Journal was the recognized blogging platform that eased manual coding for bloggers.
And then in 1999, Evan Williams and Meg Hourihan started Blogger and are responsible for the blogging trend that exists today.
Blogger was acquired in February 2003 by Google.
Funnily this was also the year when WordPress was released. The exact date being May 27, 2003.

A basic website will only show static content which is perfect to display information such as contact details.
However, if you want to cover various topics under your niche, it is preferred to have a dynamic website (blog).Having a blog will help you put the latest posts in front of the audience.

A website is structured in a way that increases conversions and focuses on the UI such that the user is drawn to the CTA (Call To Action) button.
The website is divided into three basic parts, the header, body, and footer.

A blog has both Pages and Posts. Pages are used to show static information for example a contact form or an about us page.
Posts are used to showcase the content being written on the blog. They are chronologically shown in descending order such that new blog posts are shown first to the users.
A static website, on the other hand, shows only pages such as about us, services, and a contact page.
Static websites do not need to update their content regularly as the main goal is to capture leads from their website.
